VITA volunteers in the USA have provided tax return assistance for 52 years.
The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program administered by the IRS has a rich history. It began after the Tax Reform Act of 1969 was passed as part of an increased emphasis on taxpayer education.

Empowering Laredo Families
The Laredo Family Economic Success Coalition was founded in 2009, building on the legacy of the City of Laredo Library and Martin High School, providing free tax assistance services for 24 years.
The coalition's programs and services assist low to moderate-income families achieve financial stability and self-sufficiency.
